Soul, funk & blues for Mind Cambridge

Grab your dancing shoes tomorrow, Friday 11th October, and join us for an evening of soul warming sounds at The Duchess of Cambridge in Trumpington, CB2 9HZ, to mark World Mental Health Day, which is today. All funds raised will be be donated to the Mind Cambridge shop, helping to support local mental health services within the community.

The pub has very kindly donated most of the prizes for the raffle and we’re collecting a voucher from the local Trumpington Waitrose today. Prizes include a 3-course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine, courtesy of the Duchess of Cambridge, plus lots more.

The kitchen will be open until 8, after which the pub will be supplying a buffet. DJ Marky Mark joins us with his sounds from 8 until 11. The Duchess of Cambridge will be open until 12, so if you can’t make it earlier, pop in on your way back home, or on any day thereafter, and drop your spare change into the Mind collection tins, whatever you can afford is welcome. Mental health affects us all.

With huge thanks to our last minute graphic designer (you know who you are) and ace local printers www.cambridge-printing.com who kindly sponsored the fabulous posters and flyers. Also to all the local businesses and notice boards that displayed posters on their boards and in their windows, and those that ran around placing them! We’re looking forward to seeing you all on the night.

Visit the Duchess of Cambridge’s Facebook page to find out more about this local pub with the friendliest vibes. Together we can make sure that No Mind Is Left Behind.

PS wear something yellow today to show your support for young minds!
