In the headline slot for the World Mental Health Day Benefit at The Portland Arms, Mr Griff did not disappoint.

As one of Cambridge’s most popular bands, the spectacular 8 piece group never fails to draw a large crowd. One of their backing singers was unwell, so it was lucky 7 this time, with talented Janett Hunold stepping up instead of the usual dynamic duo.

Mr Griff was on lead vocals and keys, Booga on guitar, Gav Sirisena on bass, Phil Cambridge on trombone, Pete Stanton on percussion and keys, and Stefan Tumber on drums, all shining stars, with biggest thanks for their scintillating set.

A packed house as they arrived on stage, pitch perfect sounds, and the final total of funds raised highlighted the evening’s massive success, all in aid of Mind.

Thank you too for the great shots Andrew Milbourn, our fantastic photographer!

Check back soon for a follow-on story relating to Mr Griff and his new track, Dawns on Parade, in aid of Mind. In the meantime you can download the song, original albums and check forthcoming gig dates on the band’s website.
